StellarX claims the acquisition allows StellarX to "fulfill its potential".

Dark Web Seller offers 617 million account data for "less than $20,000 in Bitcoin"

Account databases from 16 websites have been put up for sale on Dream Market, a dark web marketplace.

A spokesperson for one of the affected websites has included the legitimacy of the hacked database.

They also claim to have several additional databases ready to release.

☕What is DAI?☕

DAI (DAI) is a stablecoin, a cryptocurrency that is pegged to another currency.

In DAI's case, 1 DAI is pegged to $1 USD.

However, unlike most other stablecoins, there is no centralized authority that backs the value of DAI.

DAI's value is pegged via collateralized cryptocurrency debt. Which means 1 DAI is pegged to $1 USD worth of Ether.

In Simple terms, DAI is a loan taken against Ethereum. Anyone with Ether can create DAI using a CDP (Collateralized Debt Position) Dapp.

DAI uses various economic incentives to maintain the peg at $1.

Speculators can profit using the CDP regardless if the price of DAI breaks above or below the peg.

There are 2 caveats to the stabilization mechanism of DAI however, these 2 condition would theoretically break DAI:

a) If the price of Ether falls to $0.
b) If DAI price fluctuates by 50% in less than 5 minutes.

DAI has proved its stability during the Jan-Apr 2018 period when it still manage to hover near $1 despite the value of ETH falling from $1400 to $400.
