⛏️ Tether Mints $150 Million on Ethereum

Tether (USDT) has just authorized the issuance of $150 million USDT on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain.

According to Bitfinex CTO Paolo Ardoino, The tokens are "authorized but not issued", and that the minting will be used to "fill future issuance requests."

Interestingly, the whole transaction costs a whopping $0.43 USD in gas fee.

💳 Coinbase Expands Cryptocurrency Visa Debit Cards Across Europe

Coinbase has expanded its Visa debit card service to six European countries.

First introduced back in April in the UK, the card is now usable in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

In other news, Visa recently launched a blockchain-powered payment service using Hyperledger Fabric.

🏛️ DOrg LLC Purports to be First Legally Valid DAO Under US Law

Developer cooperative dOrg is now first legally established Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) under United States law.

The DAO rules and implementation are available on the Ethereum blockchain, and the DAO is licensed as a Blockchain-Based LLC firm in Vermont called dOrg LLC.

This means that the DAO can now participate in contractual agreements and provide liability protection.
