💸 Russia considers creating a Financial Center for crypto Trading on the Chinese border

A proposal is being considered to create an offshore financial center on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, a lake island that shares a border with China.

Said financial center would be a hub for cryptocurrency trading — as well as other financial operations.

The proposal for such a center mimic initiatives such as the "crypto island" of the Philippines and the "crypto valley" in the Swiss.

🚫 India's draft bill proposes a 10-year jail sentence for using cryptocurrencies

India has proposed a draft bill banning cryptocurrency trading, which could impose severe criminal penalties for violations.

Dubbed 'Banning Cryptocurrencies and Regulation of Official Digital Currency Bill 2019', its passage will render all crypto-related activity illegal in India.

The new bill also proposed creating a new official cryptocurrency—the Digital Rupee.

🔪 Bittrex disabled all New York-based user accounts, assets unrecoverable

Bittrex is officially unavailable to New York based customers, user accounts are closed, assets that are not yet withdrawn are unrecoverable.

Effective 9th June, Bittrex no longer provides its service to the resident within New York State jurisdiction.

According to an announcement, this is resulted from Bittrex's compliance to the State after it rejecting its BitLicense application.
