🏆 Chinese Court Declared Bitcoin Legal as Virtual Property

The Hangzhou Internet Court formally described Bitcoin (BTC) as virtual property on July 18.

The ruling reaffirms that Bitcoin is now legal to own in China and indicates that holders would be protected from disputes regarding possession.

China's central bank, the PBoC, did not explicitly disagree with the ruling.

"Indeed, Bitcoin is virtual property, but it's not fiat money," a PBoC official with the surname Li told the publication Friday.

😊 Binance to share 9.5 Million Stellar after accidentally staking for 11 months

Binance have "unknowingly" staked its Stellar (XLM) for over a year.

After introducing wallet changes recommended by the Stellar team, Binance discovered it had already generated 9.5 Million XLM for staking since Aug. 31, 2018.

In an announcement, Binance will also add staking support for XLM, which will allow users to opt for staking their XLM through Binance.

🤙 New Coin Ycash split off from Zcash after world's first "Friendly Fork"

Ycash (YEC) has succesful forked off Zcash (ZEC) in what is known as a friendly fork.

Initially announced in April, the fork was not met with any contention within the community. Hodlers of Zcash will receive a 1:1 ratio of Ycash per the fork.
