🐛 Monero Mining Malware "Norman" may be Hiding in your PC

Cybersecurity company Varonis has discovered a new cryptojacking virus that aims to mine the cryptocurrency Monero (XMR) and evade detection.

Dubbed "Norman", one of its key features is that it will close the crypto mining process in response to a user opening up Task Manager.

According to the report by the firm, Norman was found as one of the many cryptojacking viruses that infected machines in a "mid-sized company".

⚙️ Binance Completed System Upgrade, enables OCO trading for API 

Binance has just completed a site-wide system upgrade and has enabled trading as of 10:00 UTC.

The upgrade will include a new OCO (One-Cancels-the-Other) order type. Though the order is only available to API traders.

Binance also increased order book levels from 5,000 to 10,000 on their REST API.

👾 IRS sends new letters to crypto holders, stating amounts they owe to the agency

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is sending out a new round of letters - notice CP2000, to cryptocurrency holders.

Unlike the last letters sent from the IRS, the new notice specifies the amounts individuals owe to the IRS.

Letter recipients can dispute the stated amounts, but failure to respond to the letters within 30 days may incur penalties

🏛️ Bitpay now requires verification to buy over $3,000 in BTC

As of now, all users who wish to buy over $3,000 USD worth of Bitcoin (BTC) will need to pass a verification process on Bitpay.

The change comes along with the introduction of Bitpay's new Dashboard Page.

The company has promised that it will "use highly secure ways to store the data".
