"Cooking Mama" Developer Refutes Crypto Jacking Rumor

A rumor is doing the rounds now that "Cooking Mama: Cookstar" was using players' Nintendo Switches to mine cryptocurrency.

The rumor went that the activities would lead to a spike in Switch network traffic and a severe decrease in battery life, and trigger the console to overheat.

The game creators denied the cryptocurrency mining claims via the game's official account.

"Cooking Mama: Cookstar, nor any of our other titles in the past or near future will utilize crypto technology." - they tweeted.

Paxful Allows Users to Trade Gold With Bitcoin

Users can now buy or sell bitcoin with gold on p2p marketplace Paxful with no min/max requirement.

Bitcoin (BTC) with be held in Paxful escrow during a trade, while gold must be delivered within 21 days of completion of a transaction.

Users will need to fulfill Know-Your-Customers (KYC) verification requirements if their transaction at certain threshold.

Bisq Halts Trading Due to Critical Security Vulnerability

Bisq advised users not to send any funds to a counter-party if they have active trades.

However, users can override the latest alert key functionality that blocks trading as Bisq is a peer-to-peer network. But it is highly discouraged for the users' own security.

Bisq said trades can only be completed when they release a v1.3.0 update on their platform and assured the users' funds are not at risk.
