❌ WeChat bans cryptocurrency transactions in its payment channels

WeChat users who engage in crypto trading will have their accounts terminated, according to an updated terms by the Chinese tech giant.

The new rule will come into effect at the end of the month, on May 31.

According to sources in the region, WeChat is currently a dominant channel for OTC cryptocurrency transactions in China.

😱 7000 BTC stolen from Binance in Security Breach

Up to $41 Million USD worth of bitcoin (BTC) was withdrawn from Binance in a seemingly well-orchestrated and deliberated hack.

The hackers were also able to obtain a large number of users API keys, 2FA codes, and potentially other information.

Binance will use their in-house SAFU Funds to cover the losses, meaning users' funds are safe.

Currently, all deposits and withdrawal are suspended on the site while a security review is being performed.

😁 Grin Developers Receives Mysterious 50 BTC Donation

The developers behind Project Grin (GRIN) have reportedly received an anonymous donation of 50 BTC.

According to Grin's public financial report, funding of the project stands at $123,423.73 as of March 31st, 2019, prior to the large donation.
