🗂️ YouNow files cryptocurrency offering with SEC to Give Away (not sell) Tokens

YouNow, a blockchain-based live streaming startup, has filed a public offering for its Props token with the SEC.

If approved, YouNow would be able to distribute the ERC20 tokens to users for using the app, without registering the tokens as securities.

"No funds will be raised through the public offering, created to allow compliant 'mining' of Props in [the] US," says the company.

💰 Algorand Raises $60 Million in Dutch Auction Token Sale

Algorand raised over $60 million in a token sale of its native Algo (ALGO) token.

The Algorand Foundation held its first-in-a-series Dutch Auctions on June 19th, setting the value of $2.40 USD per token at sale.

The auction coincided with the official launch of Algorand's MainNet.

🔔 Block.One paid $30 million USD to purchase domain name Voice.com

According to documents filed with the SEC, Block.one has paid $30 million in cash to purchase the domain name for Voice.com.

Block.one announced the creation of Voice at the beginning of June, claiming it will provide more transparency than traditional social media platforms.

Voice.com is an EOS (EOS) based social media platform that is open for beta-testing application.
