Bank of China posted an infographic on its website detailing how Bitcoin (BTC) works as well as dispelling misconception to the general Chinese masses

The 3 parts infographic explained comically the basic description of bitcoin, PoW mining, bitcoin fundamentals, as well as PSAs on crypto trading.

As China moves towards regulatory clarity on cryptocurrency, we may see a resurgence of awareness as the public opens up to cryptocurrency.

👨‍⚖️ IRS sends letters to crypto investors, telling them to pay tax

The US tax collection agency is mailing what it called "educational letters" last week.

Three variations of the letter (6173, 6174 and 6174-A) were sent, all of which are supposed to help taxpayers understand their tax and filing obligations and how to correct past errors.

"Taxpayers should take these letters very seriously by reviewing their tax filings and when appropriate, amend past returns and pay back taxes, interest and penalties," - IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig said in a statement.

🏭 Iranian Gov't Authorizes Cryptocurrency Mining As Industrial Activity

A report revealed that the Iranian government has officially recognized PoW mining as industrial activity during a Sunday cabinet session.

Company engaged in mining in the country will be required to seek a license from Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

However, usage of cryptocurrencies for domestic transactions is still outlawed within the nation.
