☠️ Ireland-based crypto exchange absconded with users' funds

Bitsane has apparently vanished, taking as many as 246,000 users' crypto deposits with it.

Users report that the exchange has been non-functional since June 17.

Back in early 2018, Bitsane was featured in CNBC's article on how to buy XRP.

🤝 Polkadot Closes Private Token Sale of 500,000 DOTs

Polkadot (DOT) has closed a private sale of 500,000 tokens according to its managing foundation, Web3 Foundation.

The sale is said to be on track with the protocol's $1.2 billion valuation, though it is unclear if the tokens where sold at $120 each.

Polkadot aim to build a blockchain network that can enable interopability with other existing and future blockchains.

CoinGecko currently tracks forward tokens and IOU for Polkadot tokens that is currently traded on TOKOK.

🛠️ Waltonchain forced to hardfork after mainnet hack

Waltonchain (WTC), a supply chain management based blockchain, recently underwent emergency hardfork following a "99.99% attack".

According to announcement from project team, the hardfork was initiated at block number 175,366, In order to mitigate damage from a "coordinated attack."

"As a result, after thorough evaluation, multiple areas of code were improved and rolled out earlier today via hard fork"
