🍁 Favorable ruling received for Bitcoin ETF at Canada, Ontario

Canadian investment fund manager 3IQ Corp announced that it has received favorable ruling from Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) for "The Bitcoin Fund", a non-redeemable investment fund that is expected to trade on major Canadian stock exchanges.

New York-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini Trust Company LLC will provide custodial services to manage the bitcoins (BTC) of The Bitcoin Fund.

This announcement represents a shift in regulatory landscape as earlier this year, OSC refused to issue a receipt for the fund's prospectus citing a lack of compliance with Canadian regulations & public interest concerns.

🕵️ Bitmain files for confidential IPO, sponsored by Deutsche Bank

Bitcoin mining giant Bitmain is said to have confidentially filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with SEC earlier this week. The amount they are seeking to raise remains unknown.

This news comes after the announcement where Canaan Creative, the second largest ASIC manufacturer after Bitmain publicly files for an IPO with U.S seeking to raise $400 million USD 2 days ago on 29 Oct.

Also worth noting that on 29 Oct, Bitmain's co-founder & executive director Micree Ketuan Zhan was ousted, though the effects of the management shakeup remains unseen at the moment.

Exactly 11 years ago today on the 31/10/2018, Satoshi Nakamoto published the whitepaper for Bitcoin (BTC), and set forth an unstoppable motion that is Bitcoin.

The whitepaper outlined a cryptographically secured tamper-proof, decentralized peer-to-peer protocol that could track and verify digital transactions, prevent double-spending and generate a transparent record for anyone to inspect in nearly real-time.

One mystery remains even after 11 years - the true identity of the whitepaper's author. Will we ever find out? We're just as curious as you are!
