💫 Poloniex Spins Out From Circle to Form New Exchange

Poloniex is spinning out from Circle to form a new exchange that will not support trading for customers based in the U.S.

The new independent firm, called Polo Digital Assets, will free Poloniex from its parent company Circle.

In a separate blog post, Circle said that Polo Digital Assets received backing from an unspecified Asian investment group.

Polo plans to spend $100 million on the business during the next few years and will reduce all spot trading fees to 0% until the end of 2019, starting from Oct. 21.

🚀 Binance increases leverage up to 125x for its futures trading platform

Binance's futures trading platform, Binance Futures, has just increased leverage up to 125x from 20x previously.

At the maximum leverage of 125x, a 100 USDT collateral deposit will allow users to hold 12,500 USDT in BTC.

Binance CEO CZ said that the move has been taken due to an increase in institutional participation

"These professional traders seek out the most efficient ways to trade very quickly, both in terms of cost and performance." - He said.

🛑 Bittrex International Halts Service in More than 30 Countries

Bittrex International, Malta-based international unit of Bittrex, will cease serving users from 31 countries.

Users from affected countries will have their accounts suspended by October 29, 2019 and are asked to withdraw their funds from the exchange before the date.

Several countries in the list are also subjected to sanctions and embargoes by the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

LN development startup ACINQ has just launched a non-custodial wallet for making faster payments dubbed "Pheonix".

A video accompanying the post demonstrates a number of wallet functions, all accessed via a user-friendly interface.

In the demonstration, the app is able to set up a wallet, create payment channels, receive and send sats, and back up wallet all in under 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, ACINQ still intends to continue developing its original LN wallet, Eclair, for advanced users.
