🎖️ China's official army newspaper; military should adopt blockchain tech

China's official army newspaper, PLA Daily, said that The Chinese military should use blockchain technology to improve operations and reward soldiers.

In an op-ed, the papers said that blockchain could be used to store military personnel data such as basic information, career path, and missions undertaken.

Ever since President Xi Jinping public support of blockchain in October, government authorities, corporates and state media have done an about-face in commendation of the tech.

⚡ Ukrainian Railways Branch Caught Mining Crypto With State Power

A unit of the Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) has been caught red-handed diverting company electricity to mine bitcoin (BTC).

"More than 100 pieces of computer equipment were identified that were generating bitcoins." Ukrzaliznytsia's Director, Oleg Nazaruk said.

Creating and and circulating cryptocurrency is prohibited in Ukraine under central bank rules, Ukrzaliznytsia said.

MCD will also allow users to earn interest on DAI by locking up a DAI Savings Rate (DSR) smart contract on Ethereum.
