💳 Binance Partners with TravelbyBit to Launch Crypto-Backed Travel Rewards Card

Binance has partnered with crypto travel startup TravelByBit to launch a rewards card that facilitates crypto payments on major travel websites.

The card will function like a prepaid card with access todiscounts and rewards.

Users can top-up their rewards cards with several major cryptos including Bitcoin (BTC), Binance USD (BUSD), Binance Coin (BNB) and Ontology (ONT).

Scheduled to launch early next year, the card will initially roll out to travelers visiting the ASEAN region, Australia and Europe.

Ethereum Core Developers have agreed to delay the Ethereum (ETH) "Difficulty Bomb" in a periodic Core Dev Meeting.

The Difficulty Bomb, also known as "Ice Age", is intended to steadily reduce the profitability of Ethereum mining and smooth the transition from the Proof of Work to the Proof of Stake.

👮 South Africa tightens currency controls, clamping down on crypto exchanges

South Africa's central bank is planning to bring in new rules to stop cryptocurrencies from being used to evade currency controls.

The new rules are expected to be put in place in Q1 2020.

South Africa's First National Bank said it will stop serving cryptocurrency exchanges, including Luno, ICE3X, and VALR.
