🖥️ Decentralized video platform DLive Joins BitTorrent Ecosystem

Peer-to-peer filesharing giant BitTorrent (BTT) announced on Dec. 30 that DLive, the blockchain-based live streaming platform, will be joining its ecosystem.

"Decentralized content platforms such as TRON's newest partner DLive are the platforms of the future." - BitTorrent's CEO Justin Sun commented.

DLive, which is currently built on the Lino blockchain will migrate to the TRON (TRX) blockchain as a result of the collaboration.

🧾 Crypto exchange Bithumb hit with a massive tax bill of over $69M

South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Bithumb, has been hit with a hefty tax bill of 80.3 billion won (~$69.5 million).

A local news media reported that Bithumb's largest shareholder, Vidente Co., confirmed the tax claim in a regulatory filing on Friday.

South Korea's taxation authority, the National Tax Service (NTS), has reportedly levied withholding tax (income tax) on Bithumb's foreign customers' income.

Bithumb is planning to take legal action against the levy.
