🖥️ South Korean Presidential Committee wants Crypto to the Masses

In a new report, the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (PCFIR) proposed the government to bring cryptocurrencies into the mainstream.

"The Korean government has to gradually allow institutional investors to deal in crypto assets and promote over-the-counter (OTC) desks dedicated to institutional investors' trade," PCFIR said in the report.

The PCFIR also suggested that the local financial sector should develop and introduce a Korean custody solution.

🔮 Binance Futures launches XRP perpetual contract

The contract, paired against Tether (USDT), offers leverage of up to 75 times.

The XRP/USDT contract appears to be the first such contract from Binance.

Binance is also concurrently running the Binance Futures Trading Tournament with up to $100,000 USD worth of BNB to be won.

✏️ Messaging giant LINE's crypto exchange Bitbox delisting XRP

Bitbox, the cryptocurrency exchange by Japanese messaging giant LINE, is delisting XRP.

Accordingly, users will no longer be able to trade and deposit XRP, and they have until Feb. 16 to withdraw their funds.

Bitbox did not give specific reasons for the move.
