🔒 Bitfinex Adds Margin Trading on Tether Gold With Pairs of Up to 5x Leverage

Traders are now able to execute on margin using Tether Gold (XAUT) against tether (USDT), bitcoin (BTC) and the U.S. dollar.

According to a press release by Bitfinex, users are able to trade up to 5x Leverage on the pairs.

Tether Gold represents ownership of one troy ounce of physical gold on a London Good Delivery gold bar, with the gold backing each token stored in a Swiss vault.

U.S.-based crypto exchange Bittrex has secured insurance coverage of up to $300 million.

The coverage will help protect crypto assets held in Bittrex's cold storage system, according to an announcement by the exchange.

Bittrex said it was approved for the coverage "after successfully demonstrating the exchange's extensive internal security and compliance protocols."
