📚 Litecoin Foundation Partners With Cred to Let Holders Earn Interest

In light of Litecoin Foundation partnership with Cred, LTC holders are able to earn interest up to 10% annual percentage rate.

LTC holders need to lock up their coins at Cred at least for 6 months to enjoy the benefit. The interest will be paid monthly in either fiat or cryptocurrency.

It is noted that part of the funds will be used to assist in Litecoin development.

🗡️ Hacked Italian Exchange Altsbit to Shut Down in May 2020

Altsbit, a cryptocurrency exchange who lost "almost all funds" in hack on Feb. 5 decided to shut down its services in May 2020.

It has been reported Altsbit's verified losses amounting to $70,000 in Bitcoin and Ether. Among other cryptocurrencies lost are Pirate Chain (ARRR), VerusCoin (VRSC) and Komodo (KMD).

The remaining funds in the cold storage are scheduled for refund to the affected users on February 10 until May 8, 2020.

🔨 Ukraine won't regulate crypto mining

A document was released by Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation detailing the main principles of the country's approach to the crypto assets.

Notably, the ministry said in the document that it has no plans to bring in rules to regulate crypto mining.

The ministry will also "contribute to the development and market introduction" of distributed ledgers, support "any innovation using these digital technologies," and create regulatory sandboxes for the blockchain industry.
