⚔️ Steem Community Strikes back in Battle With Justin Sun

In an apparent DPoS takeover, Sun was able to put a new slate of Steem (STEEM) witnesses in charge after a contentious soft fork limited his voting power.

However, Steem's core users haven't given up on the blockchain. As of press time, 7 of the former witnesses booted by Sun have regained the top spots on the consensus list.

The takeover drew much ire and scrutiny from the community and beyond. Binance and Huobi, which initially aided Sun, has since rescinded their votes amidst allegation of misusing user's fund.

🍵 BitMEX 'not authorized' to operate in UK, says it is working to assess the situation

U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a warning against BitMEX, saying that they are not authorized to operate in the country.

BitMex is currently working with their advisors to look into this matter.

It has been reported FCA might issue more similar warnings to other exchanges such as Deribit, CoinFLEX and Bybit.
