✔️ India's Supreme Court Lifts RBI Ban on Banks Serving Crypto Traders

The Supreme Court of India has struck down the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) ban on banks' dealings with crypto-related firms.

India's central bank, RBI, had imposed a blanket ban on banks' dealings with crypto businesses back in April 2018, which came into effect in July of that year.

The supreme court decision now rules that the ban is "unconstitutional", banks can now serve customers with known dealings with the cryptocurrency industry.

⛏ Bitcoin's Computing Power Grows Again After Coronavirus-Related Disruption

The average hashing power on bitcoin (BTC) over the past seven days has reached a new high of around 117.5 exahashes per second (EH/s), up 5.4 percent from where it stagnated for a month beginning Jan. 28.

The growth comes as major Chinese miner manufacturers have gradually resumed shipments over the past one to two weeks after the coronavirus situation in China has improved compared to late January.

While big cities such as Beijing and Shanghai are maintaining the response level at "very significant", more companies have gradually returned to business in the last two weeks.
