✒️ "Bitcoin is a Financial Instrument" - German Financial Regulator

The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority of Germany, Bafin, has issued guidance to clarify the status of cryptocurrencies and the regulations that apply to crypto.

Starting from 2020, German banks and other regulated financial institutions are allowed to manage cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin on behalf of their clients.

The guidance further describes cryptocurrencies as a digital representation of value.

💸 IOTA Founder confirms to pay back Victim of Wallet Hack

On Feb. 12, 2020, IOTA (MIOTA) suffered an attack targeting its official desktop wallet.

David Sønstebø, founder of Iota, revealed that he will personally fully repay all 46 victims of last month's Iota hack to the tune of 8.52 million MIOTA.

In an interview, he revealed that 46 individuals were directly affected by the attacker.

The IOTA network is on track to resume on 10th of March.

BitMEX is becoming the leading Bitcoin Derivative exchange as they are seeing its Bitcoin (BTC) holders has grown over 30,000 coins ($273 million) year-to-date recently.

Moreover, their Bitcoin cold storage grew over $140 million worth of BTC last January.

It is more apparent as their daily volume hitting over $2.7 billion since the start of the year.
