$52M in EOS Tokens stranded as wallet-app shuts down

EOS Ecosystem, a wallet app that has promised high returns for users' EOS deposits, has shut down the platform.

The wallet team has apparently absconded with all of the $52M worth of users tokens deposited with them, according to a local report.

In 2019, the project was sued in a local court in Tengzhou, China, for allegedly carrying out a pyramid scheme involving over 33 million EOS tokens

Dharma now allows sending money to any Twitter handle

Dharma, a peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform, has a new feature where users could send USD to any Twitter handle, even if the recipients do not have a Dharma account.

Before sending the dollar, users are required to deposit funds into their Dharma accounts. Additionally, the recipients would earn interest rates immediately upon receiving the funds from the transaction.

Currently, Dharma offers 3.5% interest per annum, though, it remains unclear what is the interest rate for this feature.

FTX launches crude oil futures

FTX has launched crude oil futures (OIL100-0525) amidst the recent May oil price when it went into negative territory.

To ensure its oil futures contract withstand the turmoil, FTX adds $100 dollar to each contract that has monthly expire to the spot price of WTI crude oil.

To be able to trade its oil futures contract, users are required to pass KYC and reside in specific countries.

On top of that, FTX is also looking to launch tokens based on oil futures soon.
