Huobi's new tool will snuff out illicit activity

Huobi Group has launched an in-house transaction intelligence tool to detect and immobilize illicit activity across its crypto exchanges.

The tool will automatically freeze accounts deemed to be engaging in "suspicious" transactions until a compliance officer follows up on the case.

However, What Huobi deems illicit behavior patterns was not immediately clear.

"Bitcoin Halving" Google Searches broke ATH

Interest in the forthcoming "halving" event on the Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain has surged to levels higher than ever seen before.

Data from Google Trends indicates that this year's peak of interest in the event is 16% higher than back in 2016, during the last halving.

The 2020 halving will be the third of its kind and will reduce the Bitcoin issuance rate to 6.5 BTC for bitcoin block mined.

Alex Masmej, founder of a company offering loans against non-fungible tokens, has just raised $20,000 after selling his personal tokens (ALEX) on the Ethereum network.

ALEX is like "a blend between a small Income Sharing Agreement and a human IPO." according to a blog post from Alex.

Anyone holding ALEX is entitled to 15% of Masmej's income for the next three years, capped at $100,000.
