Encirca is launching an Ethereum naming service (ENS) registrar to provide domain names at .eth locations. Similar to the domain name system (DNS) currently in play on the web, ENS will link to alphanumeric ethereum addresses through "human-readable" names. CoinDesk 🗑️ Swedish Crypto Exchange QuickBit Announces User Data Breach A data incident in Swedish crypto exchange resulted in a leak of 300,000 user data. QuickBit revealed that personal data such as names, addresses, email addresses and card information of 2% of its customers was exposed. The leak occurred when an error caused all of Quickbit's user database to exist outside of the exchange's firewall, allowing anyone with the right tools to access the leak. Some documents presented as evidence by the NYAG describing Bitfinex customers based out of New York were actually about "foreign ECPs [eligible contract participants]." The documents are aimed at supporting Bitfinex and Tether's motion to dismiss the NYAG's case. The parties are due back in court on July 29.
