☠️ Algo Capital Loses Crypto Funds After CTO's Phone Is Hacked

An investment firm focused on the Algorand (ALGO) blockchain lost a few million dollars in USDT and ALGO tokens after CTO's phone was breached.

The investment firm is a separate entity from the Algorand Foundation and Algorand LLC, which oversee the blockchain's actual development.

In a personal blog, CTO Pablo Yabo has pledged to shoulder most of the reimbursement cost.

💵 $1.2M seized from Bitcoin Ponzi stuck in frozen Indian bank account

Authorities in India can't access cryptocurrency seized from a Ponzi scheme because such transfers have been prohibited.

The prohibition comes from the Reserve Bank of India's blanket ban on all regulated with regards to handling funds related to cryptocurrencies.

Pune city Police had hired the now defunct Koinex to convert the seized Bitcoin (BTC) into Rupee.

However, the funds are now frozen by the Central Bank of India.

🎍 PayPal Withdraws From Facebook-Led Libra

PayPal has withdrawn from the Libra (LIBRA) Association, the company announced Friday.

A PayPal spokesperson said that the firm "made the decision to forgo further participation" in the Facebook-initiated crypto project.

"We remain supportive of Libra's aspirations and look forward to continued dialogue on ways to work together in the future." The statement continued.
